Liz Black Joins WMCA

Christian Radio station WMCA (570 AM) recently welcomed radio personality Liz Black to its evening lineup. She is on the air on Monday-Friday from 7 p.m.-midnight.

Black is no stranger to the New York radio market. She started training in 2003 with WMCA’s own Kevin Cottrell and covered the Gospel News Report for “Koffee with Kevin” from 2006-2007.

“I’ve known Liz a long time. As a veteran New York broadcaster she was the perfect addition to the WMCA air staff,” said Cottrell, production director at WMCA.

“We are delighted to add Liz to the lineup of day-part hosts at WMCA. Liz has a great style and delivery. We are excited to have her on board,” said Phil Boyce, Salem Media’s Operations Vice President for the New York Region.

Born in New York, Black’s journey into the entertainment arena is rooted in her gift of gab. Liz is a 2012 and 2104 Stellar Award nominee for “Radio Personality of the Year” and a 2013 nominee for the “Reach Award.” She is currently the Celebrity Chair for New Jersey and the National Ambassador for the Alliance for Lupus Research. She was the 2013 recipient of the Woman of Excellence Award from Rev. Al Sharpton’s National Action Network Women’s Auxiliary. Her favorite scripture is Philippians 4:13: “I can do everything through Christ who gives me strength.” Black said this scripture is her inspiration as she goes about her daily ministry of talking to the masses.
